The Goal of Every Pattaya Girl

Most Pattaya girls start life as farmers’ daughters in the Northeast rice growing area of Thailand known as Issan.  They all have family back up in Issan and they feel a tremendous obligation to support the folks back home.  In fact, in the off-season, many of the girls of Pattaya will travel back home to visit parents and grandparents.  They go home to show off their success and carry with them money and gifts to distribute amongst the family members.

The young girls of Issan observe these seemingly successful girls from Pattaya and naturally dream of the day when they too can travel south.  The girls that come to Pattaya all come with a common goal of meeting and marrying a “good man”, who will be able to support the whole family back home.

Once the girls arrive in Pattaya, the reality becomes quite different from the dream.  The goal remains the same but as time passes; they realize that most of the men they meet are not the marrying type.  Many a passionate traveler has promised the world to his Pattaya girlfriend, only to go back home and never return.  Promises of marriage easily fade with time.

Pattaya girls who have gone through this and who have witnessed their friends going through this, start to change their views and approach to “farang” men.  They quickly start to look upon foreign visitors as walking ATM machines that they can use to extract as much money from, in the shortest period of time, while the guy is still in town.

We’re not saying that they become jaded.  We’re just pointing out what should be perfectly obvious. Every girl in Pattaya has the primary aim of making money.  So keep this in mind when you fall in love with the Pattaya girl of your dreams. And you will fall in love. It’s not a matter of “if”, rather it’s a matter of “when”.

The girls in Pattaya can be downright mischievous when it comes to extracting dough from “farang” men.  Pattaya girls are expert at getting you to fall in love with them.  All of the girls in Pattaya are looking for “sponsors”, who will send them money on a regular basis.  Sponsors are willing to send money in order to keep their Pattaya girlfriends out of the bar business.

There are many Pattaya girls who have more than one sponsor.  None of the sponsors knows about the other.  Besides that, the girls continue to work in the bars.

First-time travelers to Pattaya are especially vulnerable to becoming sponsors.  We’re just pointing this out so that you go into these relationships with your eyes open.  Many times we’ve heard the retort, “but my Pattaya girl is different.”

The best way to avoid being roped in on your first visit is to play the field.  Don’t get hung up on being with just one girl.  Go with a different girl every couple of days or so.  It’s best not to let any one of them latch on to you for more than three days.  After three days Pattaya girls really get attached to their men.

Remember to treat all of the girls in Pattaya with respect.  Don’t lead them on with false expectations.  Likewise, don’t be misled yourself.
