Pattaya Girls and the Concept of Face

In their dealings with Western men, Pattaya girls do not want to lose face. The Asian concept of face is hard to describe and understand.  We in the West don’t have anything quite the same.  The easiest thing to compare it to is pride and a desire not to be looked down upon by others.  I’m certainly no scholar when it comes to Asian philosophies, but that’s the closest that I can come to translating the concept.

Face will likely come into play if you have taken a Pattaya girl out of a bar one night and return the next night with the idea of taking out a different girl.  The girls in Pattaya hate this sort of stuff.  They simply don’t like it when a guy switches girls in the same bar.

You can call in a turf war, if you want, but what it comes down to is face.  If you take a different girl on the second night, it’s like telling the world that the first girl wasn’t any good.  The first girl will lose face.  So, what you’re going to find out very quickly in Pattaya is that the girls will be loyal to their friends.  They will refuse to go with you once you’ve been out with one of their own from the same bar.

Many a visitor has made this mistake on his first trip to Pattaya.  The easiest way to avoid this is just to go to a different bar every night.  That is unless you want to be with the same girl every night.  They are more than 30,000 girls in Pattaya and hundreds of bars, discos, go-go clubs, and massage parlors.  Don’t make things more complicated than they have to be.  If you want a different girl on the second night go to a different bar.

There is one exception to this rule that would allow you to take one girl the first night and a different girl the second night.  Here’s how it works.

You are in a bar and you spot two nice Pattaya girls you’d like to get to know.  So, you invite them over and everyone proceeds to get to know one another.  You’re having drinks and enjoying the encounter.  You’re buying lady drinks for both girls.  When it comes time to invite one of the girls back to the hotel, you tell both girls, right there in front of each other, that you like them both.  Make a point to let them know that you like them both, equally as well.  Tell them that you would like to take one of them home tonight and come back tomorrow night to take the other one.  Ask them both at the same time, if that’s okay.  Tell them you can’t decide who to take first.  You can let them decide for themselves, who goes first or you could even flip a coin.

Of course, since this is Pattaya, and they are Pattaya girls, you could always invite them both up to your room at the same time, but that is the subject of a different blog post.
