Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks has opened up at Ripley’s in the Royal Garden Plaza and it’s pretty amazing. The museum features life-size wax statues of just about every major celebrity out there. They’ve got everybody from Harry Potter right on down to Paris Hilton. If you’re looking for something to do with your Pattaya girl besides drink beer all day, this is the place to go.
The cool thing about the exhibit is that it’s a totally hands-on experience. They let you get right up close to the figures, touch them, and pose for pictures. The place is a real pleasure to visit. Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks really does it right.
You can wrap your arms around Paris Hilton, feel her up if you want, snap a picture, and tell all of your friends back home that you actually ran into her while you were in Pattaya. The figures are that realistic.
Right now they’ve got more than 60 figures set up in various different rooms. There’s a room for politicians where you can check out Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin, among others.
Tussaud’s exhibit of Tom Cruise has him hanging down from a wire just like he did in that Mission Impossible movie. It’s awesome.
They reportedly spent over 3 million dollars on the place, which is some serious money in Thailand. Tussaud’s Wax Works hopes to pull in a million visitors a year and they may very well be able to do that considering how much fun it is to go through the place.
I took one of my Pattaya girlfriends in there and we had a blast, literally running from one exhibit to another, taking pictures. This is a great place to take your Pattaya girl. She’ll really appreciate it. We were acting like a couple of kids. I’ll definitely go back for a second visit.
Tussaud’s Wax Works has movie stars, sports figures, polititions, and they even have a room set up for Thai celebrities. My Pattaya girlfriend really liked that part. For the guy’s they’ve got that Thai supermodel Methinee and she’s dressed in a skimpy bikini. That’s another good photo for the boy’s back home.
They’ve got Tussaud’s divided into 9 different exhibition halls, each with a different theme. Each room even has a different odor associated with it. For instance they’ve got a musty smelling room with Frankenstein and Dracula.
The museum does have one major drawback as far as I’m concerned and that’s the pricing structure. They’re using that damned dual-pricing system whereby they charge foreigners one price and Thai’s another. I hate that. At any rate, it costs 400 baht for Thais and 600 baht for “farang”. So, guy’s it’ll cost you 1000 baht for you and your Pattaya girl to go have fun for an afternoon.
Make sure to take your camera.
