The Pier Beer Bar is right at the entrance to Walking Street.

Every visit to Pattaya should include a sit-down at The Pier located right at the entrance of Walking Street. You can’t possibly miss this Pattaya beer bar. As you pass by, the Pattaya girls sitting in the first row of seats, out by the street, will literally pull you right in.

The Pier is actually a huge complex of many individual beer bars surrounding a Mai Thai boxing ring. There are four beer bars right along the front on Beach Road and the rest stretch back into the building, clear out to the waterfront.

I walk by this place every time I go to Walking Street. It’s always packed and everyone always seems to be having a good time. There are a bunch of Pattaya girls that work in this complex. When I say a bunch, I mean that there may be 100 or so girls there on any given night, maybe more.

The Pattaya girls at The Pier come in every shape and size and there’s sure to be one or two that please your eye. It’s hard to get past the one’s up front, though. But let me tell you, it’s definitely worth a walk back through the complex to get a look at the girls that work in the bars in back. They don’t get as much attention and they’re eager to please.

The boxing doesn’t get started until later in the evening around 9 pm or so. You can actually see some pretty good matches here on occasion. Just pull up a seat at ring side. Prices are in line with the rest of the beer bars on Walking Street. Beers are 90 baht. Bar fine is 300 baht.

You’ll see the inevitable Connect Four and Close-The-Box games going on here; so it’s a good idea to sharpen your skills before you head in. All the Pattaya bar girls are good at these two games. I usually stop in briefly at the start of the evening for a warm up drink. Sometimes, this is as far as I get.

The EM Bar is one of the smaller Pattaya beer bars

One Pattaya beer bar that’s always a pleasure to visit is the EM Bar up on the corner of Beach Road and Soi 7.  The Pattaya girls that work in this beer bar are some of the friendliest and fun girls on the beach Road strip. Don’t expect a whole bunch of bar girls, though, you’ll probably only find four or five at the most. EM bar is a pleasant place to stop in for an afternoon cold one.

The EM Bar is one of the smallest beer bars on the beach road strip. As you enter they have a fully stocked bar on the right hand side of the room. They carry all of the local Thai beers and they stock all of the major liquor imports as well. There are stools at the bar so you can belly up to the bar if you want. On the left are three small tables with rattan lounge chairs. That’s it, and that’s OK. It’s a nice change of pace from the large beer bar operations all over town.

The girls are attentive and there’s absolutely no pressure to buy lady drinks at all. Drink prices are in line with the rest of the beer bars in the area and they even serve up complimentary peanuts.

I like to stop in whenever I’m up in that part of town during the daytime. It makes for a relaxing pit stop. I prefer to sit right at the front table by the sidewalk where I can watch the world pass by. Check it out, I recommend it.

Pattaya Pubs:

This type of bar is definitely the tamest of them all. The pubs are a lot like your typical British pub at home. They provide a nice respite from the hubbub of Pattaya nightlife. Most of them have pretty good food and some of the more fun ones even have live music. The one thing that they don’t have is bar girls. The Pattaya pub girls are simply waitresses and are generally not available for pick up. The typical Pattaya bar girl cannot be found in a pub, but the pubs are great for hanging out in the afternoon. They provide a nice change of pace.

Pattaya Beer Bars:

Now this is where you can definitely find some good Pattaya girls. This is also the most common of all of the bars. There are more plain beer bars than any other type of bar in Pattaya. Beer bars number in the hundreds. If your goal was to have a drink in every beer bar in Pattaya, you would spend the rest of your life at it.

Beer bars are the open-air places where the girls will invite you in for some fine Pattaya hospitality that the Pattaya girls are famous for. These are easily recognized by the gathering of gorgeous girls sitting out front, usually around a little horseshoe shaped bar together with a few tables sitting around. Your typical Pattaya bar girl works here.

They hail you down as you pass. “Hello handsome man, where you come from.” “Hello sexy man where you go, why you walk alone?” “Halloo welcome, come inside”

This is where you are able to take the Pattaya girls out of the bar. You’ll have to pay the bar fine, of course.

Hostess Bars: Pattaya hostess bars are the ones that are air conditioned. The action is indoors, but they will have some greeters out front. On the scale of classiness, these Pattaya bars are right in the middle. They’re nicer than the beer bars, but they don’t match up to the go-go bars.

They don’t have the dancing girls and their prices aren’t as high. On the other hand, they may be slightly higher priced than the beer bars. After all, they have to pay for the air conditioning. These are great places to get away from the heat in Pattaya.

You can take the girls out of here if you find one you like. Believe me; it’s not hard to find a Pattaya hostess that you like. Just remember the bar fine. Just like the drinks, the bar fines are higher here than the beer bars but cheaper than the go-go bars.

Pattaya Short Time Bars:

Now here’s an interesting Pattaya entertainment option that you can find along Soi 6. Just like the name suggests, the specialty of the house in these places is the famous “short time”. They’ve got rooms right on the premises. If the rooms aren’t right upstairs they’re only a short distance away, maybe out back.

The Pattaya girls in these bars provide a lot of personal attention, more so than in the beer bars. They’ll be all over you as a matter of fact. The short time girls may be reluctant to leave with you for a long time. The short-time girls make their money on the quick turn over and some of them don’t want to miss any action by leaving. If you do manage to get one of the girls to agree to leave with you, it’s going to cost more than it would in a beer bar.

You may want to keep this in mind when you visit a short time bar. You’re probably not the girl’s first date of the evening, and you’re damn sure not going to be the last either. Fortunately, the girls clean up nicely in between. In general, all of the girls in Pattaya pay special attention to their cleanliness.

Pattaya Blowjob Bars:

Now here’s something that you probably never even imagined back home, but Pattaya is a fantasy land, after all. These bars are just what the name implies. That’s right; you can sit right at your table with your mates right along side, having a friendly chat, while these Pattaya girls do what they do best. And believe me; they definitely do it the best, probably the best in the world. You need to see it to believe it. So, definitely check one of these bars out while you’re in town.

Pattya Coyote Bars:

The coyote bars in Pattaya are a lot like the hostess bars except they all have a runway, sometimes it’s the bar itself, and the girls dance on the runway. Because of the space limitations, the dancing sometimes isn’t that great. It’s more of just a swaying to the music, but its still pleasant to the eye. The dancing girls have clothes on, usually a bikini or something equally as skimpy. Don’t expect a strip tease. It’s not going to happen.

The dancers have numbers pinned to them to make it easier to meet the girl who catches your eye. You just have to tell your waitress or the manager which one of these Pattaya girls you want. They’ll send her over to you when she’s done dancing her set.

These bars are nice because you get to see a lot more of the girls’ bodies before you make your choice.

Pattaya Go Go Bars:

These are much more elaborate establishments than the coyote bars, although some people use the terms interchangeably. The Pattaya Go Go Bars are the most expensive venues to meet the Pattaya girls. Some of them have some truly extraordinary girls working there and you have to pay more for the privilege of enjoying their company.

The Go Go bars have more room for the dancers and the dancing is generally a lot better. Some of the better places even have choreographed routines. You will see dancers that make you drool. In addition, they have special girls that are the headliners or stars, so to speak. The headliners put on special shows that are sexy to say the least. Sometimes they’re really erotic and elaborate. Make sure you get a good seat. These shows are classy.

There are a few Pattaya go go bars that specialize in really erotic shows. You have to look for the places that have the jacuzzi tubs. There is full nudity in almost all of the go gos and the girls don’t mind being touched. In fact they encourage it.  As it gets later in the evening the shows get even more erotic and customers are encouraged to participate. Remember, if you’ve been groping, sniffing, soaping, and tasting, you’re expected to tip.

The Pattaya Go Go bars have different bar fines for different levels or category of girl. The girls themselves charge differently as well. Here’s the run down:

Dancers: Naturally, there are the dancers wearing the numbers. These girls can be taken out after paying the bar fine, same as the coyote bars.

Hostesses: Some GoGo bars also have hostesses. You can take them out and the bar fine usually costs less than the dancers.

Waitresses: The girls that serve up the drinks can also leave the bar with you. Sometimes its hard to distinguish between the a hostess and a waitress, but they both are available.

Pattaya Show girls: These are the headliners and stars of the special shows we mentioned above. These girls will cost you dearly and unfortunately some of them have an attitude and will only go with the most generous of patrons. They think they’re the best of all of the Pattaya girls. You be the judge.

Pattaya Discos:

Pattaya discos are no different than discos that you find all over the world. The difference is that in the Pattaya discos you’re guaranteed to pick up a lady if you want to. No game playing like back home where the females are in control. In Pattaya, it’s the males who are in demand. If you ever wanted to have rock star status, this is where you can do it.

The discos are where the Pattaya freelance girls hang out. Freelancers literally flock to these places. It’s a beautiful thing to see, a disco packed with beautiful girls who are just dying to meet you. This is also where you can meet “normal” girls like students and other local Pattaya girls who don’t work in bars.

The discos don’t charge to get in, but they make up for it with very expensive drinks. Be prepared to spend some serious money in these places. On the other hand, there’s no bar fine and you might just meet the Pattaya girl of your dreams.
