The Cocktail Car is the latest addition to the Pattaya bar scene.

One enterprising local businessman has found a way to become a part of Pattaya nightlife without incurring the high rents of real estate in the Pattaya entertainment district. The Cocktail Car makes its own entertainment district wherever it parks. What a great idea!

Disguised as a non-descript blue and white van in the daytime, this amazing vehicle transforms into a popular Pattaya entertainment venue by night.

This is what the Pattaya Cocktail Car looks like by day.

Usually parked around Pattaya 2 up on the sidewalk by Central Festival, the Cocktail Car is becoming a popular rest stop with shoppers in the evening.

If you’re thirsty from a hard evening of shopping with your Pattaya girls at the mall, you can find respite right as you exit the mall. Just pull up a seat in front of the Cocktail Car and you can enjoy your favorite alcoholic beverage right there on the sidewalk.

The Cocktail Car serves up all of the major imported brands as well as good old Sang Som Thai whiskey. Their prices aren’t bad either. I stopped in for a Sang Som the other night and it was only 50 baht, which isn’t bad at all.

With tables and chairs set up out front, the Cocktail Car transforms the whole area into a Pattaya bar.

If you’re looking for bar girls, however, the Cocktail Car doesn’t have any. It’s strictly for refreshment. You’re certainly welcome to bring along your own girl if you want and a lot of guys do just that.

It’s pretty amazing to see how this little van transforms. The whole roof opens up to sport a big neon sign bearing the logo. The roof over the driver’s compartment also opens up with reflective glass and a spotlight. Actually, there are a couple of spotlights on the van which provide the lighting for the seating area. The whole thing has neon lights all over the place.

It has a bar on the very rear of the vehicle and a railing on the side to give it that bar room effect. They have a huge menu of drink items set up just to the left. It really makes quite a scene wherever it parks. You can’t miss it.

I have actually spotted a couple of these Cocktail Cars on Pattaya 2. I’m not sure just how many there actually are around town. There may be even more. Leave it to Pattaya to make it easy to find a bar. There are more bars here than anywhere else in the world. Now we have them on the street to boot.

Two Pattaya girls were eaten alive by fish yesterday as dozens of onlookers stood by in amazement. Not a single person offered aid to the girls. This surprising event took place right in front on Central Festival Shopping Plaza in Pattaya.  The fish continued to eat at the feet and ankles of the local girls for a full fifteen minutes before the ladies finally extracted themselves from the water.

Don’t be alarmed, though, the girls survived the ordeal and, in fact, enjoyed the experience. This event happens to dozens of visitors to the mall everyday in Pattaya.

The Star Fish Spa offers Garra Rufa fish massage

There’s a new vender that has set up shop up right in front of the mall on the Pattaya 2 side of the building. It’s the Star Fish Spa and what they have to offer is a little out of the ordinary. They have huge aquariums set up where you can soak your feet while tiny fish nibble away at your toes and ankles. The fish literally eat you alive as you watch.

According to the sign out in front of the Star Fish Spa, this is a new type of therapy that is supposed to reduce stress. Customers pay 250 baht for the privilege of soaking their feet for 15 minutes in tanks that are filled with tiny fish. Apparently, the fish also remove the bacteria on your feet.

No kidding, I checked it out and sure enough, these therapeutic fish are apparently well known. The tiny creatures are Garra Rufa fish and they were originally discovered in a little town in Turkey called Kangal. Legend has it that the local Turks in Kangal have been using the Garra Rufa fish to cure skin disease for hundreds of years.

Garra Rufa actually look like miniature catfish. Apparently, they have no teeth and are harmless. They suck or nibble off dead skin cells while leaving the new living cells underneath untouched. It’s said that the Garra Rufa also secrete an enzyme that reinvigorates the new cells underneath.

The Garra Rufa is a protected species in Turkey. Nevertheless, the little suckers are bred and shipped all over the world. Modern entrepreneurs have found a new use for the fish. They use them to suck money from the pockets of tourists.

The Star Fish Spa is actually a very popular attraction here in Pattaya. I see people being eaten alive there every time I walk by. Check it out for yourself.

Apparently this was the [...]]]> Were any of you guys down at Central Festival Mall last night to check out the Playboy Bunnies? That’s right, they flew in a bunch of Playboy Playmates to put on a show right in the mall. Representatives of Playboy Magazine were on hand to lend credibility to the event.

Apparently this was the first time something like this has been tried in Pattaya. The Playmates have been flying around Asia putting on shows in various locales. This might be a big hit in other parts of the world, but I’m not sure whether or not it was considered a success in Pattaya. What was the point?

The girls were definitely hot, but certainly nothing out of the ordinary by Pattaya standards. I mean, I’m not one to ever complain about seeing beautiful young girls strutting their stuff around on a stage while wearing next to nothing, but in Pattaya you can see that every day.

Seriously, guys, in my opinion there are a lot of Pattaya girls that are much better looking than what I saw at the Playboy event last night. Just go into Angelwitch or Airport A Go Go on any given night. Our local Pattaya girls are way hotter than any one of those models they that flew into Central Festival last night.

The other obvious difference was the fact that none of the Playboy Playmates that visited Pattaya last night wore numbers. Bummer! After all, this is Pattaya and the boys are used to having their way with the girls. What’s the point of just looking if you can’t choose?
