This comes on the heels of the Saturday night round up of ladyboys in the same area. Police are making it clear that they want the riff raff out of Jomtien and back up in Central Pattaya.

Once they had 20 year old Kanjana Thongkhaow back at the station, the police had no trouble persuading her to become an informant herself. Details of her interrogation were not revealed, but what we know is that the young Pattaya girl agreed to set up a drug buy with her supplier.

The girl arranged to buy 750 more amphetamine pills and lead her supplier, Chalad Thongkhaow, right into the hands of the police. It looks to me like the pair of dealers is related. Police did not reveal the nature of the relationship between the two. They were both carted off to jail to await their court appearances.

This is not the first time that police have relied on informants to learn of crimes in progress. Informants were also employed in the recent bust of the poker room at the Encore Hotel. Police are getting aggressive in their use of informants and will continue the crackdown.

This goes to show you guys that the drugs are definitely out there in Pattaya and some of the girls are using them. If you’re girlfriend is acting weird, that’s probably why. Rumor has it that a bunch of the Pattaya go go dancers use amphetamines to keep going. It’s better to stay clear of girls that you think are getting high.

It’s also a good practice not to ask the girls for dope or take it if you’re offered. It’s just too easy to get yourself set up and busted. With all of the beautiful Pattaya girls out there to have fun with, who needs drugs? It ain’t worth it!

Well, Saturday night it all came to a head when the police converged on an area of the beach popular with the ladyboys and rounded up well over a dozen of them. I must say, I haven’t seen an uglier bunch of ladyboys anywhere. This bunch looked like hell.

But the bunch that was rounded up last night was by far the ugliest bunch of she-males I’ve ever seen, drunk or sober. Some of the complaints probably came from people who were just trying to beautify the area.

At any rate, the shake down cleared the Jomtien Beach streets of ladyboys for at least one night. Hopefully, the boys will head back up to Soi 6a where they won’t get hassled as much. We heard that they all got fined 200 baht a piece and were turned loose to prowl again another day.
