Many of Pattaya’s small streets, known as Soi, are nicknamed after prominent landmarks. Soi Diana is no exception. Soi Diana is officially called Soi 13 and that’s what the street sign indicates. But the stretch of Soi 13 that runs east off of Pattaya 2 Road towards Soi Buakhao is named after The Diana Inn that sits on the corner.

Most punters that are new to the Pattaya scene never make it past Walking Street. Who can blame them? There’s plenty to keep you occupied in Pattaya’s most famous and popular entertainment district. But take a stroll up Soi Diana and you won’t be disappointed either.

Just head up the Soi anytime after 8 pm and you’re in for a treat. Soi Diana is lined with numerous beer bars, restaurants, hotels, a coyote bar, and an air conditioned pool hall, just to name a few of the many options. If you hang around until 11pm, the street will really be rockin’, especially on the week ends.

Here is just a sampling of the entertainment on Soi Diana:

Kiss Food and Drink .As you head into the Soi, you’ll see Kiss Food and Drink right across from the Diana Inn. Kiss is famous for its excellent Thai food that’s reasonably priced. This first part of  Soi 13  is tame enough.

Beefeater Restaurant. Next up comes Beefeater Restaurant where you can grab a delicious steak before you head farther into the Soi for your night of adventure. Better to get a good meal in before the night’s activities.

Papgayo Coyote Bar. Just a little further along, on the right will be Soi Diana’s only coyote bar. Papagayo is a popular Pattaya coyote bar with the typical glass walls facing the street. There are some dynamite looking girls here and it’s worth a peek.

Soi Diana Beer Bar Complex. Just past the Papagayo starts the beer bar section of Soi Diana. This is where you can find the parties, just look for the balloons. There are a bunch of Pattaya beer bars, all under the same roof on the right hand side of the street. I think there are at least 12 of them. Definitely enough to keep you busy for a while.

Nid Beer Bar. Nid deserves a special mention. This place throws more parties than any other beer bar on Soi Diana. It’s a favorite with Scandinavians, especially the boys at the maipenrai forum. At least one wedding reception has been held here. If there’s a party at Nid Bar, don’t miss it.

On the left hand side of the street there are a bunch of other beer bars. The Luck Bar and Jim’s Beer Bar are popular. Take your pick. The beer bars on the left hand side of the street are smaller and the girls are even more eager to meet you.

Megabreak Billiard Hall Pattaya

Megabreak Pool Hall. Take a break from the Pattaya beer bar action and stop in for an air conditioned game of pool.

They have weekly double elimination and handicapped 9-ball competitions. Free food and table time before the tournaments.

Megabreak is another place to look for Pattaya freelancers who will wear you out on the pool table.

Also a good place to watch sporting events. They have fifteen big-screen TV’s.

Still haven’t seen enough Pattaya beer bars? Keep heading up the Soi. After Megabreak starts another area of individual Pattaya beer bars. There are at least another half dozen places with typical beer bar set up. Stop in at The New Orn Bar 2 or The All Bar One. Both have friendly bar girls and reasonably priced beer.

I’m telling you guys, you need to check out this area of town. You won’t be disappointed. If you make it all the way up to Soi Buakho, you’ll run smack into Oasis GoGo and the LK Entertainment District. But that’s another story. Enjoy!

Pattaya girls of Joker Bar know about advertising.

I was strolling down Soi7 the other night admiring the Pattaya girls when I was drawn in by an advertising campaign that I just couldn’t resist. The ad’s message was clear and concise and the offer was presented in an irresistible fashion. In fact, I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a great advertisement in my life.

The advertising I’m talking about was being done by a group of Pattaya girls that work at the Joker Bar. They were standing out in the street in front of the Joker Bar and simply holding up cardboard signs. Believe me, they were attracting quite a bit of attention and just about every punter on the street was stopping to chat it up with the girls.

The Joker Bar is one of the typical Pattaya beer bars that can be found on Soi 7. It’s located on the Soi just about halfway between Pattaya 2 Road and the beach. On this particular night the Joker Bar was throwing a party. Besides the Pattaya girls and their signs, the Joker Bar had balloons strung up, a live band, and some beer bar party food ready for the punters.

The Pattaya girls of Joker Bar roped me right in with their direct approach, me and just about every other punter that was out and about for the evening. It was quite the event and business was booming.

Advertising gurus say that for an ad to be successful it must be capable of entering the conversation that’s going on in the mind of the customer. Pattaya girls know well what’s on the minds of their customers. I’d have to say that these girls hit the target square on.

Next time your in Pattaya, take some time to visit the Joker Bar and the many other beer bars that are lined up on Soi 7. If you’re looking to hook up with an enterprising Pattaya girl, just look for the signs.

Pattaya Soi 7 probably has the highest concentration of beer bars anywhere in town. Besides the beer bars there are at least a couple of Go Go Bars, massage parlors, and the Anna Jet short time bar as well.

I filmed the following clip one night between 8 and 9pm. It will give you an idea of the sheer number of Pattaya Beer Bars on this small strip and I didn’t even film them all. The street is filled with lights, pool tables, big-screen TV’s, as well as a wide assortment of Pattaya Girls who are just dying to meet you.

Next time you’re in town take a night to explore the Pattaya beer bars on Soi 7. You won’t be disappointed.

If you want to party with Pattaya girls, then you’ve got to find the balloons. That’s right, look for the balloons hanging in front of Pattaya beer bars and that’s where you’ll find the Pattaya girl’s party.

It doesn’t take much of an excuse for a beer bar to throw a party in Pattaya. In fact, you can find a party going on every night of the week if you know what to look for.

Some Pattaya beer bars will hang a banner to announce an upcoming party.

Sometimes a Pattaya beer bar will advertise a party a few days in advance by hanging a banner up in front. The banner will usually give the date of the party as well as the excuse, such as a birthday, wedding, or anniversary.

Most of the time, though, there is very little advance notice. Usually, the Pattaya girls will just come in early on the day of the party and start hanging the balloons. You can start looking for them as early as 4pm. Just take your time and be vigilant as you move about town in the afternoon and evening. Keep a sharp lookout for the balloons.

The parties usually get pretty well ramped up by 8pm. Why go to these Pattaya parties? Simple answer, there is always live music, the beer is sold at happy hour prices, they will have a fantastic spread of free food, and the Pattaya girls will be more frisky and definitely in the mood to please.

A good party will always have Pattaya girls dancing.

Once you start to follow the parties around Pattaya you’ll be hooked. The atmosphere is amazing. The places get packed with everyone drinking and whooping it up, the girls will be dancing, the band playing, and who knows what can happen.

I was up on Soi 7 on Thursday night where there were no less than two Pattaya beer bars throwing parties at the same time. At one of the parties a bar girl got drunk and started taking her clothes off. First the blouse came off.  Then off with the bra. She was up on the stage dancing topless. That’s when things really started to heat up.

I don’t know what transpired while they were on the floor, but when the bar girl came up, she took off her pants as well. She jumped back up on the stage and continued to dance in nothing but a string thong. It was great!

Then there’s the food. You could actually manage to eat dinner for free every night in Pattaya if you just knew where the parties were. Most of the time they’ll have a whole pig roasting on a spit.

The other night at the Airport Club gogo on Walking Street they had two pigs roasting. Last night at Rosco’s Good Everything beer bar they had a pig as well as chicken wings, spring rolls, assorted fruits, and a huge pot of Thai soup.

Pattaya beer bars aren’t skimpy with the food either. It’s basically all-you-can-eat. They serve it buffet style and you just go up and help yourself. You’re going to be spending money on beer anyway, why not get a free dinner to boot?

A beer bar party is a perfect opportunity to get some good photos of Pattaya bar girls. You can get the girls to pose for you in groups. They’ll dance for you. They’ll do about anything to ham it up for a photo. I like to get prints made and then return to the bar the next night to hand out the photos to the girls as gifts. This is great way to make a lot of bar girl friends.

Balloons signaled a party at Nid Beer Bar last night.

Pattaya girls hung red and white balloons at Nid Beer Bar on Sunday night to let people know about the party they were having. Besides the balloons, they had an entire pig roasting on a spit out in front of the bar. This Pattaya girl party was celebrating the marriage of one of Nid’s bar girls.

Not only was the lucky bar girl getting married, she was getting married to a “farang”. So, it was quite a big deal and all of the Nid Beer Bar girls were a good mood and ready to party. The event kicked off in the early evening around 8 pm and continued into the wee hours of the morning.

Nid beer bar is located on Soi 13 east of Pattaya 2 Road. It’s housed in a complex that has a total of six Pattaya beer bars in it. Nid Beer Bar is the second one in from the right hand side of the complex.

The Pattaya girls of Nid Beer Bar are a livily bunch and last night was no exception. They had two girls up on the stage pole dancing during most of the party. The place was jam packed with customers and lady drinks were flowing like water. So, how could they not be in a playful mood.

Around 8:30 pm one generous guy from the wedding party rang the bell signaling free drinks for all. They started serving out the roast pork and things began to really rev up.

Whenever you’re in Pattaya, it pays to seek out these beer bar parties. The only way to find out about them is to look for the balloons. When you spot the balloons, you need to drop whatever you’re doing and drop into the bar. It’s always a good time and the bar girls are always more playful.

Sometimes they’ll hang a sign out in front of the bar in advance, maybe a day or two before. Keep a look out for these signs. They always have free food and it seems like somebody always rings the bell.

Nid Beer Bar has some decent looking bar girls. Most of them speak at least a little English. The bar fine is only 300 baht. The Nid bar girls come in all shapes and sizes, so you’re sure to find one that’s a fit.

Next time you’re strolling down Soi 13, stop into Nid Beer Bar for a drink and a chat with the girls. This entire Pattaya beer bar complex really gets rocking around 11pm on most nights.

The Pier Beer Bar is right at the entrance to Walking Street.

Every visit to Pattaya should include a sit-down at The Pier located right at the entrance of Walking Street. You can’t possibly miss this Pattaya beer bar. As you pass by, the Pattaya girls sitting in the first row of seats, out by the street, will literally pull you right in.

The Pier is actually a huge complex of many individual beer bars surrounding a Mai Thai boxing ring. There are four beer bars right along the front on Beach Road and the rest stretch back into the building, clear out to the waterfront.

I walk by this place every time I go to Walking Street. It’s always packed and everyone always seems to be having a good time. There are a bunch of Pattaya girls that work in this complex. When I say a bunch, I mean that there may be 100 or so girls there on any given night, maybe more.

The Pattaya girls at The Pier come in every shape and size and there’s sure to be one or two that please your eye. It’s hard to get past the one’s up front, though. But let me tell you, it’s definitely worth a walk back through the complex to get a look at the girls that work in the bars in back. They don’t get as much attention and they’re eager to please.

The boxing doesn’t get started until later in the evening around 9 pm or so. You can actually see some pretty good matches here on occasion. Just pull up a seat at ring side. Prices are in line with the rest of the beer bars on Walking Street. Beers are 90 baht. Bar fine is 300 baht.

You’ll see the inevitable Connect Four and Close-The-Box games going on here; so it’s a good idea to sharpen your skills before you head in. All the Pattaya bar girls are good at these two games. I usually stop in briefly at the start of the evening for a warm up drink. Sometimes, this is as far as I get.

Basilisk Pattaya Beer Bar

The balance seems to be shifting at the New Simon Beer Bar Complex on Walking Street. It appears that the Basilisk Beer Bar is overtaking the Frog Bar as the most popular Pattaya beer bar in the complex.

Some of the Pattaya girls, including that hot dancer that I reported on in October, have left The Frog. That’s the norm in the Pattaya beer bar scene. Easy come; easy go. There are constantly new bar girls coming in

and old girls going out or going home. The new dancer at The Frog isn’t nearly as good as the previous girl.

It looks like the Basilisk might just have the hottest girls at the Simon. I stopped by the Basilisk Beer Bar a number of times last week and the place was rockin’ each time. They have some sexy new dancers and the rest of the bar girls aren’t half bad either.

The Pattaya Tourist Police must be enjoying it too. They have set up a little rest station for the officers, right beside the Basilisk, so that they can watch the show while they’re taking breather.

The Basilisk has the same advantage that The Frog has in that it’s located right up front on Walking Street. The girls will shout you into this beer bar as you pass by.

Prices are the same as all of the bars in the New Simon and 120 baht for lady drinks. I personally think that’s a little steep for a beer bar, but this is Walking Street after all. Bar fine is still only 300 baht, though, unless they see a sucker.

It’s nice to see some new bar girls at the Basilisk. It makes for a more enjoyable time. Check it out next time you walk by.

Aussie Bar is throwing a party tonight.

One Pattaya beer bar is celebrating a birthday tonight. If you’re going to be in town you should stop by the Aussie Bar on Soi 8. They’re having a big anniversary bash to celebrate another successful year of being in business. The Patttya bar girls of the Aussie Bar are a lot of fun and I’m sure that they’ll be wound up and ready to play tonight.

The bar girls at Aussie Bar are attractive and fun to hang out with. They always dress up in the same color outfits. I’m told that the color of the dresses tonight will be white. That should prove to be a great look on the ladies. Some of the girls were picking out their dresses last night from the street venders that passed by.

Pinky is one of the lovely Pattaya bar girls that can be seen at Aussie Bar.

From what I could pick up using my limited Thai language skills, most of girls were looking for something especially sexy for tonight’s party. Dresses were being rejected because they were too long and didn’t show enough leg. Another stunner turned down a dress because it didn’t show enough tit. It was a pleasure to sit there and watch the show.

I don’t know which exact outfits the girls will have on, but I can assure you they will be sexy to say the least. A white dress against that tan Thai skin combined with that long dark hair is guaranteed to make some knees weak.

The Aussie Bar is one of the more popular beer bars on Soi 8. Obviously, it’s popular with the Aussies that are in town. Go figure. There is always a pretty good crowd at happy hour just before the sun sets.

Their prices are reasonable and the girls are friendly. A bottle Chang beer is only 45 baht which isn’t bad at all. Buying a drink for one of the girls will cost you 110 baht, but the girls are allowed to drink actual drinks like beer, wine coolers, and normal sized cocktails. So at least you’re getting more than just a thimble of tequila for your money.

The bar fine is reasonable as well, only 300 baht which is in line with the other beer bars on Soi 8. As far as the girls go, “up to you.”

I’m heading up there early this evening. It should be a good time and I recommend it. Get there early before all of the pretty girls get taken. See you there.

Pattaya girls love to play Connect Four

If you’re planning to visit any beer bars in Pattaya then you’d better learn how to play Connect Four. All of the Pattaya bar girls know how to play and they love playing it. Some of the Pattaya bar girls have become quite skilled at the game and you may find yourself playing for lady drinks, in which case you’ll probably lose.  But, it’s great fun, nevertheless.

I’ve never been in a beer bar in Pattaya that didn’t have one of these games on hand. It’s a good ice-breaker if you don’t speak any Thai and your bar girl doesn’t speak any English. It allows you to communicate with each other in spite of the language barrier. That’s probably why, long ago, the first mamasan introduced Connect Four to the first beer bar and punters have been merrily playing along ever since.

You can have a lot of fun playing this game. You smile. You laugh. You have a good old time with a beautiful Pattaya girl and you don’t have to worry about the language at all.

So, how do you play this game? The rules are actually quite simple. Connect Four is kind of a weird cross between tic-tac-toe and checkers.  The game is played on a vertical board that has seven squares across and is six squares high. The board is kind of like a cage. It has seven slots across the top where you drop in your “men”. The men fall to the bottom of the cage where they pile up on top of each other.

Each player starts out with 21 men. One player takes the red men and the other takes the black men. You can decide who goes first, it doesn’t matter, but I have noticed that on successive games the Pattaya bar girls usually insist that the winner of the previous game go first.

You take turns dropping your men into the cage. The first person to get four men in a row wins, simple as that. You can have four in a row vertical, horizontal, or diagonal, it doesn’t matter.

You can play for fun. You can play for drinks. You can even play for sexual favors if you want. There are also different variations of the game. You can invent your own variations as well. As they say in Pattaya, “Up to you.”

The first time I played in a beer bar in Pattaya, this pretty little bar girl explained the rules to me as best she could in her limited English. I repeated her instructions. “The first to get four in a row wins.” So, when the game started, I quickly picked up as many pieces as I could hold in my hands and I began to shove them all into the slots as fast as I could. My bar girl friend looked shocked, but she quickly began to laugh and to do the same with her men.

We wound up knocking over the board with our enthusiasm and we had a good laugh. Like I said before, this game is great ice-breaker.

One long time resident of Pattaya, Peter D, swears that it can be an erotic game as well. Apparently, he was introduced to this version by an absolutely drop dead gorgeous Pattaya bar girl who added an interesting twist to the game. She likes to play the game without looking at the board. You’re only allowed to look into her eyes as you play. With each move she gives you a sensuous look.

According to Peter, the experience is incredible. She’s quite hypnotic and her eyes are like a crystal ball when you gaze into them. He refuses to tell me this girl’s name or which beer bar she works at.  He’s keeping her to himself. One of these nights I’m going to have to follow him.

The EM Bar is one of the smaller Pattaya beer bars

One Pattaya beer bar that’s always a pleasure to visit is the EM Bar up on the corner of Beach Road and Soi 7.  The Pattaya girls that work in this beer bar are some of the friendliest and fun girls on the beach Road strip. Don’t expect a whole bunch of bar girls, though, you’ll probably only find four or five at the most. EM bar is a pleasant place to stop in for an afternoon cold one.

The EM Bar is one of the smallest beer bars on the beach road strip. As you enter they have a fully stocked bar on the right hand side of the room. They carry all of the local Thai beers and they stock all of the major liquor imports as well. There are stools at the bar so you can belly up to the bar if you want. On the left are three small tables with rattan lounge chairs. That’s it, and that’s OK. It’s a nice change of pace from the large beer bar operations all over town.

The girls are attentive and there’s absolutely no pressure to buy lady drinks at all. Drink prices are in line with the rest of the beer bars in the area and they even serve up complimentary peanuts.

I like to stop in whenever I’m up in that part of town during the daytime. It makes for a relaxing pit stop. I prefer to sit right at the front table by the sidewalk where I can watch the world pass by. Check it out, I recommend it.
