Here’s Your Complete List of Guest Friendly Hotels

First-timers to Pattaya may be surprised to learn that some of the hotels in Pattaya actually discourage you from bringing Pattaya Girls back to your room. They do this by imposing what is known as a “joiner fee”. In other words, these unfriendly hotels will charge you an extra fee when you bring a girl back to your room whether for a short time or overnight. The fee can range anywhere from 500 to 1000 baht. Are you shitting me? That’s more than the bar fine in some gogo bars.

Besides being an unfair and inconvenient charge, it can be down right embarrassing to be stopped by the security guard on your way to the elevator and told that your girl cannot accompany you to your room until the fee is paid. It’s a real bummer. Unfriendly hotels should be avoided.

Fortunately, on the other hand, there are many hotels that don’t mind at all when you bring the Pattaya Girls back to your room. After all, that’s why you came to Pattaya in the first place. These hotels are known as “Girl Friendly” or “Guest Friendly” hotels. There is absolutely no reason to stay at a hotel that is not “girl friendly” and there are plenty of them as you can see from the list below.

A guest friendly hotel will usually require your Pattaya Girl to leave her identification card at the front desk while she is up in your room. This is for security reasons and is a good policy that most girl friendly hotels follow. All of the Pattaya girls are aware of this policy and it is not the least bit inconvenient. The hotel staff at the hotels listed below will treat both you and your guest with respect and dignity.

Before I wrote this post I looked at some other websites out there and I can tell you that there is a lot of bad information floating around regarding the guest friendly hotels. Many of the lists are out-dated. For example, the Pattaya Centre Hotel is widely reported on the internet and nearly every other website as being friendly. The Pattaya Center Hotel is NOT guest friendly. Let me tell you right now, the Pattaya Centre Hotel currently charges a 500 baht joiner fee. So don’t stay there and don’t rely on inaccurate or outdated lists.

To put together this current list, I personally visited each of the hotels reviewed below and I made certain that they are, indeed, “girl friendly”. So here you have it, my friends, this is the most complete and current list of Pattaya girl friendly hotels that you’ll find anywhere.

The prices are listed in US dollars. High season in Pattaya is from Mid-October through March. There is a “super high” season during the week of Christmas and New Year and prices can double during this week. Prices start to come down in April. The low season is really at a low from May through September and you can get some great deals during these off months. Besides that, hotels are always running deals, so check prices and book your room BEFORE you travel.

Guys, I put a lot of leg work into this list, so do me a favor and book your room using the links on this page. I also found you the booking agent where you can get the lowest prices and best discounts guaranteed through these links.

There are twenty hotels here to choose from. The list starts with the very low priced budget rooms and goes all the way up to the five-star Marriott Resort and Spa. There is a hotel on this list for every taste and every budget. Enjoy your trip to Pattaya!

HIGH SEASON $24 / LOW SEASON $20 This hotel is the king of the budget hotels in Pattaya. They don’t come any cheaper than this one. Talk about convenience, this hotel has it. Like I said, it’s budget all the way. The rooms aren’t that great but at least they’re clean. Bart and his friends stayed here in 2011 and had no complaints.

The following trip report was submitted by Bart who visited Pattaya during Songkran week in April 2011.

We checked in to the hotel at 5 pm. Actually, If we hadn’t used google map to ‘walk’ around Pattaya it would have taken us some time to find it. The easiest way to get there is to look for a honey body massage neon sign. The hotel is situated inside the soi (not too far) on the right hand side. On the outside it looks a bit shabby (I mean a building, space next to reception looks quite new), this same inside. First thing you will notice when you check in is that all the information at reception is in…….. Russian (majority of guests)! Not that it bothers us (I speak it) but it is a weird thing. Thinking back, most (if not all) restaurants we have been to in Pattaya had menus in Russian as well as in English. Upon arrival we were asked if we wanted to see the rooms first. Usually we wouldn’t but when you hear a question like that you kind of expect something dodgy. Rooms were ok, quite basic we would say. In each of them there was a double bed, big fridge, TV, two mirrors, shower and toilet, sink, wardrobe and commode (I am talking about standard, air-con room – we were not really on a budget but at the time of booking they did not have enough superior rooms for all of us, booked with the early bird discount – 540B a night). To be honest you are not going to need much more than that. At the beginning we have found reception staff to be a bit tired and grumpy (they work 6 days a week 10-12h shifts so we did not expect a fake smile like in England all the time). Their ability to speak English (and their knowledge of the area) was very limited, although, you can have a nice chit chat with one of the girls (the only one that was sometimes smiling). During the first day of Songkran she had an evening shift and when she saw us she smiled and said: ‘See, no water today’. We were just coming back after a small bar crawl (soaking wet) and Matt replied: ’ For now’. When we changed our clothes and went back to the reception to take some money for the night he was caring a small bottle of water and when that girl turned to take a list he has thrown half of that water on her back in one go (yes, we were quite merry at that point). She shouted and turned not knowing what to say. At that point we were all like OMG, but Matt smiled and said: ‘Now you are wet like we were, Happy New Year!’. At that point we all burst laughing. Next to reception you can also find computers with the internet access. We did not use them but instead used a small cafe (when you walk from the hotel towards second road is on the right hand side about half the way, 40B per hour).

First thing we have done was to lock up all our valuables at reception. They have safety boxes there; when you start using one you get a key and the other one is at reception. You have to sign a list every time and they are available between 7 am and 12 pm. From Mike’s recommendation we knew that a place is girls friendly but we wanted to know if there were any restrictions. It feels somehow weird to ask about it (especially when there is a young girl at reception) but after finding condoms among the goodies left in every room for purchase Tom said to that girl: ‘You know, I have found some condoms in my room, is there any problem if I have an overnight guest?’ Of course there isn’t but when you bring you new ‘girlfriend’ make sure she has her ID as security guard will keep it until she leaves.

First night we took some girls from the ‘coconut beach bar’ and the next morning we couldn’t be bothered to go down for a breakfast (after hard working night:)+jet lag) which was included in the price. You have two options: 1 – two middle size toasts, small glass of juice, some butter and jelly (not much but enough), eggs done as you like; 2 (Thai breakfast) – noodles with meat which actually looks more like a soup; with tea and coffee you help yourself. The next morning when we came down (Su had to leave to go back home in the early morning) and I was the only ‘single’ guy. We shouted loudly hello and smiled to the girls serving breakfast as they looked a bit tired. They did not respond at that point but the next day (we have done the same each morning, reception staff and chambermaids as well) I was again on my own (the day before we had a busy afternoon on soi 6 and in the evening Dea from Honey Body Massage ‘sucked’ all my life energy leaving me gutted and I did not feel like taking a girl for a night), one of the girls smiled at us and the other one, who was standing next to a tea/coffee station (behind us), put her hands around my waist and shouted loudly: ‘Hello hansum man:)’ There were at least 40 people there and they all burst laughing! I did not blush like that since high school!!! It is surprising how far a smile and a positive attitude can go!!!

We would say that the hotel has quite a good location. It is half the way between Soi 6 and Walking Street, within 5 minutes walking distance from beach road and 2 minutes from ‘Kiss food and drink’ restaurant. There are not many bars there (there certainly are a few good massage joints!) but there is a huge bar (or a cluster of bars) with life music and ladyboys in fancy dresses on the corner which generates lots of noise and a few small bars inside the soi + drunk tourist coming back to Soi Diana and LK Metro. One night when I couldn’t sleep I went down to sit and see what was going on at 4 am. Despite having quite a few girls already (I mean between 5 of us) we haven’t really noticed other guys bringing the girls. At that point there was a beautiful girl leaving our hotel and security guard had to spend some time to find her ID (he had at least 40 of them!). That made me feel a bit better:) I decided to go for a small walk and was really surprised that most of the bars were still open. I always thought that they have to close around 2 am, but actually that is only music, bars stay open much longer. Some of them seem to be never closed!

Overally, we would rate it 3.5 out of 5. Why?? Firstly, because it is a value for money place. Secondly, two of us spent some time working in hotels in England and we know how annoying and tiresome it is to listen to those dummies coming to reception to complain about their TV not working (because they are too stupid to plug it in!), the fact that they paid for a sea view but they can’t see much (at night!) and bullshit like that. So, when we go for holidays we try to be good customers and not make troubles for other people who work hard. Remember, that there are no lieu days or paid sick holidays in Thailand and those people work much harder than most of us have ever worked for a fraction of our salaries!!! We bought some chocolates at Heathrow in off-duty zone and, at the end, gave some of that to our chambermaid (we were all on the second floor) together with 200B each (we were there for 10 days), and to reception/breakfast girls together with tips for whole staff (most of them have been consumed by our ‘girlfriends’, I think all of them loved Western sweets!). Yes, we could have complained all the time about the bed being too hard (we asked for some extra blankets but they had none at that time), one of our rooms not having a window (I am serious!) or lack of the elevator but what is the point??? We have already spent £550 each just to get there so another £6 for a nice blanket with an elephant which I got now at home will neither kill me or spoil my holidays. Finally, nothing in life is perfect and, if you don’t wanna be an old grumpy SOB, you have to adapt to changes and new situations. We needed rooms ONLY to bring our girls somewhere, we did not spend much time inside even during heavy rain! After all, you don’t go for holidays to sit in a room and watch TV!!!

If you’re coming to Pattaya flush with a fat Western paycheck and you don’t mind paying top dollar for your accommodation, then the Pattaya Marriot Resort and Spais for you. This is a 5-star property with all of the comforts that are normally associated with the Marriot brand. The place is amazing.

The Marriot is a 10 story hotel with 294 rooms and 4 amazing suites. All of the rooms have either a sea view or a nice view of the enormous pool area. It’s located right in the center of town only a short distance from Walking Street and the beach is steps away. The address is 218 Moo.10, Beach Road.

The grounds are fabulous to say the least. Your Pattaya girlfriend will be blown away by the luxury here. Why wouldn’t she be? I can live for an entire month here in Pattaya for what it costs to spend one night at the Marriot.

Rates start at 5200 baht a night for a standard room on a lower floor and go all the way up to the presidential Suite which will cost you around 26,000 baht a night. They have a “Romance Package” for two that includes Champaign and a bunch of other extras. They have so many different choices that you really need to visit their site to get a good idea of what is available.

Every aspect of this hotel is first class from their receptionists all the way to the turn down service. No detail is overlooked when it comes to the comfort of the guests. They have all of the amenities, spa, fitness center, restaurants, bars, lounges, Jacuzzi, you name it.

Bottom line is that this is the best place in town as far as I’m concerned. The nice thing about this particular Marriot is that they will treat your Pattaya girlfriend with the same respect and dignity that “normal” female guests receive. That is commendable considering that some of these 5-star properties are so pretentious that you can’t even enjoy yourself. Hats off to the Pattaya Marriot, they really know how to treat the Pattaya punters.

Competition among hotels in Pattaya is fierce. That’s why you can get some of the best deals in all of Thailand right in Pattaya. The following hotels are mid-range priced, but they really have a feeling of luxury. These hotels are all priced under 2000 baht which is amazing. At today’s exchange rate that’s only about $65. Try getting this level of comfort in the Western world for this price. Here are three quality hotels that will pamper your Pattaya girlfriends.

Sunshine Hotel and Residence –

900 Baht – off season

Sunshine Hotel and Residence

1200 Baht – high season

This hotel may very well be the best deal in Pattaya. It’s located right on Pattaya Soi 8 just a half block from the beach. The facilities are amazing for this price range. They have 188 rooms and some of the rooms even have a view of Pattaya Bay. It’s no wonder that a lot of punters keep coming back year after year.

Pattaya Soi 8 is right in the heart of the action. There are bunches of beer bars all up and down the Soi as well as a couple of Pattaya go go bars. The whole Soi 7 & Soi 8 corridor rocks with activity at night. The location is also convenient to Walking Street. Just walk a half block down to Beach Road and catch the baht bus straight in. It takes all of 5 minutes.

Sunshine Hotel and Residence Pool Area

The Sunshine Hotel and Residence has two swimming pools, two restaurants and a bar. One of the restaurants stays open until 3 am. and offers room service for you late-nighters.

If you’re going to be in town for more than a week, the Sunshine has somewith free days thrown in depending upon the length of your stay. Of course, it’s Pattaya girl friendly.

___________________________________________________________

LK Metropole Hotel -

Low Season 1800 baht –standard

LK Metropole has luxury comfort at a mid-range price

High season 2300 baht –standard

Address: 33/35 Moo 10, Pattaya 2nd Road

This popular hotel offers top-end amenities at a mid-range price. It’s quite impressive and my favorite hotel in this part of town. The standard rooms are luxurious. They have a spacious pool area for daytime lounging with your Pattaya girlfriend. Besides that, there’s a modern exercise facility that includes spa and massage services. Everything at the LK Metropole is first class. The restaurant has good room service and the staff is super friendly. Breakfast is included in the room price. It’s hard to believe you can get all this at around 1800 baht.

A lot of guys come to Pattaya on a budget. Others would simply prefer to save money on the hotel bill and channel the savings into more fun times with the famous Pattaya girls. The following is a list of Pattaya girl friendly hotels that offer clean decent accommodations at less than 1000 baht.

We say that they’re girl friendly because they don’t charge you extra when you bring a girl back to your room. The extra charge is referred to as a joiner fee. We recommend that you avoid hotels that charge a joiner fee. There are just way too many good hotels that don’t charge this fee.

Off Season rates are quoted from May through October
High Season rates are quoted from November through April
There is also a super high season during the two weeks around Christmas and New Year when prices go up even further.

Here are two Pattaya girl friendly hotels in the budget range:

____________________________________________________

The Sawasdee Sea View Hotel -

770 baht all year–standard room, queen bed, refrigerator, A/C, hot water
610 baht during low season special

Sawasdee Sea View is a good budget option.

The Sawasdee Sea View Hotel is just a half block away from the beach heading up Soi 10. It has a great location, close to the beach. This budget hotel gets great reviews from everyone who stays there. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. You’ll have no trouble bringing the girls back here anytime day or night. They have a restaurant on premises and free breakfast is included with the room. They have wireless internet but there is a fee to use it.

____________________________________________________

Sawadee Siam –

700 Baht High Season

Sawadee Siam Hotel

620 Baht Low Season

This hotel is run by the same operators as the Sawadee Sea View. It’s located right up by the Honey Body Massage on Soi 11.

They’ve got a great pool area and pool bar for lounging away the afternoons. Breakfast is included in the rate.

The Bay Breeze Hotel is a great place to stay with your Pattaya girlfriend. It’s one of many Pattaya hotels that cater to single men who are on holiday and who don’t want to be hassled about having girls up to the room.

The staff at the Bay Breeze is completely understanding when it comes to sharing your room with a Pattaya girl. The front desk clerks as well as the bell staff treat the Pattaya girls with courtesy and respect. There is no extra charge to have an overnight guest in your room.

The Bay Breeze is ideally situated just off of Pattaya 2 on Soi 10 (also know as Soi Honey). I personally like this part of town because it’s central to everything. It’s about midway between Soi 6 and Walking Street.

When you stay here you have easy access to the LK Metro entertainment district and the many beer bars that are located on Soi Dianna. Club Oasis and Club Blu are both within easy walking distance.

Just down the street from the Bay Breeze is the Central Festival Shopping Mall. A little further down on Pattaya 2 are the bars and gogo bars of Soi 7 and Soi 8.

Walking Street is not that far away either, although you might want to take one of the many “song theaw” that run on beach road. I think it’s fun to go down to Beach Road and walk along the beachfront promenade that leads on into the Walking Street area. A lot of guys think that’s too far to walk, but I like to take my time and size up the many freelancers that come down to the beach at sunset.

The Bay Breeze is a mid-range Pattaya hotel with rooms as low as 600 baht per night in low season. In high season the price goes up to 800 baht. Rates during the Christmas Holiday go all the way up to 1000 baht per night for a standard room. Very reasonable weekly and monthly rates are also available. The Bay Breeze also provides free wifi internet access to guests.

The Bay Breeze has slowly and quietly been going through a renovation. The last time I stayed, there were a few rooms on each floor that were undergoing remodeling. When you check in you should ask about the current location of rooms that are being worked on. Try to get a room away from the construction.

The rooms that have completed their renovations are 100-200 baht more than the old style rooms. I found the old style rooms quite comfortable. The walls are thick and I’ve never had problems with noise from other guests.

The Bay Breeze has a swimming pool that is located on the third floor. It’s fun to buy your Pattaya girl a new bikini and let her try it out at the pool. Actually, not many guests take advantage of the pool and there is plenty of opportunity to fool around in the pool with your girlfriend of the day.

All in all, the Bay Breeze is one of best mid-range Pattaya girl friendly hotels in town and I recommend it.

Over the past few years Pattaya has become a tourist mecca of international repute. This lively beachfront town is located less than a two-hour drive south of Bangkok. The Pattaya Beach entertainment area is where you’ll find the Pattaya girls. This area encompasses approximately 3 miles of beachfront. To the south is the upscale Jomtien Beach, where you’ll find the exclusive world-class resorts, golfing, and 6 miles of white sand beach. Slightly to the north of Pattaya is Wong Phrachan Beach with its soft sand and safe swimming.

Most tourists arrive between December and March. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find accommodations during this peak period and you should definitely book your room in advance of your departure. Otherwise, you’ll be at the mercy of Pattaya’s notorious taxi drivers and other such touts. If you’re not exactly sure where you want to stay, book of room at one of our recommended hotels for just a couple of days. That way you can arrive safe and sound and then have a look around town before making your final decision.

The main Pattaya beach offers all of the usual recreational amenities such as jet skiing, parasailing, scuba diving expeditions, and sun loungers. It’s also right next to the main nightlife entertainment area where the famous Pattaya girls can be found in abundance.

Needless to say, there are accommodations in Pattaya to suit every budget. The starting point for a basic comfortable room with nothing but a fan is around 500 baht, if you’re budget minded.

Very nice air-conditioned rooms can be had in a three or four star hotel for between 1000 baht and 2000 baht. This class of hotel is where most of the guys stay, who are on a mission to meet the girls of Pattaya. Many nice hotels in this price range can be found within walking distance of the beer bars, go-go clubs, and restaurants of the Pattaya entertainment district.

If you’re looking for something more upscale, you’ll want to stay south of Pattaya on Jomtien beach. The world-class resorts of Jomtien charge world-class prices, and can be a little touchy when it comes to bringing a girl from Pattaya back to your room. Keep in mind that many families stay in the Jomtien area, so you should be more discreet about your comings and goings if you choose to stay in that area.

If this is your first visit to Pattaya. It’s more fun to stay right in central Pattaya. All of the hotels in this area will be fully aware that you intend to bring Pattaya girls back to your room. In many such hotels, breakfast for two is complementary in the mornings.

There are some hotels, especially the top end ones, that will charge you extra when you bring a girl from Pattaya entertainment district back with you. The extra charge ranges from 300 to 500 baht. You should take this into consideration before you decide to stay in one of these hotels. We don’t recommend them. It can make for an awkward situation late at night.

You should feel completely comfortable bringing your new Pattaya girlfriend back to your room. We have checked out the hotels for you and only recommend a hotel where bringing back a companion is a completely normal occurrence. That way you can save yourself the embarrassment.

Hotel safety: all of our recommended hotels offer in-room safes of the variety where you can set the combination yourself. If you happen to be traveling with your laptop, you can leave it at the front desk when you are out on the town.

As an added security benefit. Most hotels will take down your Thai companion’s ID information. Some of the better places go to the extra step and actually keep the girl’s ID document, while she’s staying with you. This is a basic security measure and something that you should be looking for when choosing accommodation.

Our recommended hotels do not charge extra for unregistered guests.
