Now, I’ve walked down Soi 6 [...]]]> Alert Pattaya police have discovered Pattaya Girls engaging in prostitution on Soi 6. Imagine that! I wonder how they uncovered the plot. Last week police raided both the Mandarin Bar and the Soho Bar. They managed to round-up nearly two dozen Pattaya Girls in two separate police raids.

Now, I’ve walked down Soi 6 many, many, times and it never occurred to me that all of the scantily clad Pattaya ladies sitting out in front of those bars were considering engaging in prostitution. Someone must have tipped off the police. Otherwise, how would they have ever found out?

Besides busting the girls, police also arrested the bar owners and managers as well. Apparently, they have been renting out “short time” rooms on the upper floors above the bars. Can you imagine anything worse?

Last Thursday was the unlucky day for the Mandarin Bar. Apparently, police sent in an undercover agent posing as a horny ‘farang”. Sure enough, the undercover agent managed to hook up with one of the unsuspecting girls of Soi 6 and sealed a deal to have sex right there in one of the rooms at the Mandarin Bar. Police sealed off the doors, rushed in, and busted the whole lot of them.

The next victim was the Soho Bar on Saturday night. Police waited around until late at night to storm into the Soho Bar on Soi 6 and round everybody up. In that case someone must have tipped off police in advance. They used the same sting technique to bust in and arrest the perpetrators.

Everyone was hauled in, photographed, videotaped, and properly humiliated. The working girls from Soi 6 Soho Bar were all wearing cute little matching t-shirt outfits when they were busted. The shirts proudly proclaimed, “I love Soi 6”. The lovely ladies of Mandarin Bar were not so smartly dressed when apprehended.

I’ve always said that Soi 6 in Pattaya is an afternoon venue. The girls get all dressed up and line up in the chairs out front. It’s worth a visit just to check out the outfits. The raids took place at night. No farangs were busted.

I was up there yesterday to see whether or not the raids have had an effect on behavior. I couldn’t tell any difference. There’s just as many Pattaya girls as ever and they’re still lining up in front of the bars. So I can’t see any reason to stay away. I recommend the Saigon Girl Bar. It’s clean, the girls are hot, and it’s well run.

Catz A Go Go was raided this week by Pattaya police.

In what appears to be the continued police crackdown on Pattaya go go bars in the Walking Street corridor, Catz A Go Go was raided this week. If any of you guys were outside of Catz A Go Go on Thursday night, you witnessed a half dozen beautiful girls being hauled off to police headquarters as a result of a police raid at this Pattaya go go.

This is the second such police raid on a Pattaya go go in as many weeks. Last week the B52 Club was raided and charged with immigration violations for employing Russian girls.

The girls of Catz weren’t being arrested for being naughty; they were arrested because they were underage. That’s right, Catz A Go Go has been using Pattaya girls under the age of 18 to dance on their stage. Those of you who thought the girls at Catz looked awfully young were right. They were young, too young.

Once they had all of the girls down at the police station it was discovered that at least 5 of them were, indeed, underage. That’s a big problem for the owner’s of Catz A Go Go. There may be other charges to follow and it’s believed that the Pattaya go go bar was operating without a license as well. This may mean that Catz will be closed down during the peak of the Season between now and New Years.

Last week the head of Pattaya police warned of an impending crackdown. Sure enough, Thursday night Catz is raided. This could be a signal to other Pattaya go go owners to clean up their acts.

Rumor has it that police found out about the young girls from an informant. They apparently sent an undercover officer into the club just prior to the raid. When the underage girls were spotted on stage, that’s when the shit hit the fan and other officers were called in to make the arrests.

It’s been a tough year for business in general in Pattaya and some feel that the police crackdown comes at an inopportune time. Others applaud the move especially as it applies to underage sex workers. Regardless of your sentiments, the message from Pattaya police is clear. Clean it up.
